About the National Little Britches Rodeo Association
Founded in 1952, the National Little Britches Rodeo Association (NLBRA) is a leading youth rodeo organization for children ages 5 to 18. Its mission is to foster fair competition, sportsmanship, and personal growth through healthy rodeo events. The NLBRA sanctions over 500 youth rodeos annually across 33 states, giving members multiple chances to earn points and qualify for the prestigious National Finals Rodeo. More than 2,600 contestants participate each year, competing for prizes like saddles, buckles, scholarships, and cash—both locally and at the national level.
The National Little Britches Finals Rodeo (NLBFR) is scheduled for July 5–11 at the Lazy E Arena in Guthrie, Oklahoma. In 2018 alone, 1,144 contestants competed for over $380,000 in prizes and college scholarships, making it the largest indoor youth rodeo globally. All events are held under the NLBRA Rulebook to ensure consistency and fairness. For more information, visit nlbra.com.
